Dog Shot and Killed By Arrow

A dog was shot with an arrow yesterday here in Seattle. The 150-pound Mastiff died this morning from internal bleeding.

You can view a picture here, but be forewarned that it is graphic and upsetting.

This is sick and makes me really angry. I'm not sure what I would do if someone hurt my dog. I love him so much.

Seattle Animal Control is investigating and is offering a $2,500 reward for information leading to an arrest.

Hey Billy, I didn't look at the photo...too sad. I have such a hard time understanding why people ('humans') think that it is any more acceptable to kill an animal. But then again, how many news images come to us, every day, of people killing each other.

May your own doggie have a happy and healthy day.

Yeah, that is disturbing. I wish I hadn't looked at the photo.

Billy,

I too couldn't bear to look at the photo, my imagination does enough for me. This is such an outrage, not only are dogs sentient creatures who deserve at least the respect not to be horribly killed, but they are our responsibility, and people get away with this stuff. I hope they find the person who did this and that they spend some time in jail.

I heard about that the other day - so sad! :( I can't believe someone would intentionally shoot a dog like that, and with a crossbow! I hope the guy gets sent away for the longest time allowed. And the maximum penalty needs to be increased. Kill someone's companion, go away for 20 years. That would be the day...

I don't know why I looked. We need much, much stiffer penalties for animal cruelty.

I can't believe this. Mastiff Dogs are one of the most gentle creatures on the planet. This is sick. Why would someone go out of there way to kill a creature like this. Anyway sorry for the ranting. I did look at the photo and it made me sick.
